Knowing your rights is not an accident.

PHYSICAL INJURY

We can’t undue the accident or the harm someone else has caused you, but you can get money damages to compensate you for losses. When you are injured in a car accident, motor-cycle accident, slip and fall, or bitten by your neighbor’s dog, you may be able to your recover medical bills, lost wages, and damages for future losses. If you need help taking care of yourself or your home, you may be entitled to money to pay for that assistance. 

NON-PHYSICAL INJURY

But, not all harm inflicted involves physical injuries. When people lie about you verbally (slander) or in writing (libel) to others, then you may be entitled to money damages to compensate you for damage caused by those lies.  The state of  Michigan has put these laws in place to help and protect you, so don’t try and be “the better person” by forgoing your rights your elected officials secured for you in our great state’s laws.
